What is Clay at the Cut?
Clay at the Cut is a new ceramics and pottery event in Yorkshire, created for anyone who loves the craft of clay - whether you're a maker, collector or just curious.
Brought to you by the team behind The Clay Mill in Slaithwaite, this one-day event is a natural extension of our mission to support and celebrate ceramics across the North. We've teamed up with the North of England Centre for Music and Art to host the festival in their stunning home, the Standedge Visitor Centre.
Why ceramics?
We believe in the power of well-made objects. When you buy directly from ceramic artists, you’re not just choosing beauty and quality - you’re supporting sustainable making, small businesses, and the creative economy.
This event is about more than just buying and selling. It’s about conversations, creativity and community. Whether you're choosing a handmade mug or chatting with a maker about raku firing, it's all part of the experience.
Our Values
- Celebrate creativity
